flat irons damaged hair more than blow dryin does.

You don't have to blow dry it, but it does have to be dry. Straightening wet hair is really bad for it, and bad for the straightener, too.
If you use a straightener constantly, make sure you are using a good conditioner and moisturizer, you are getting it trimmed regularly, and you probably shouldn't dye it. Have you ever seen someone whose hair looks like straw? That is often caused by using a straightening iron too often and not taking special care of their hair.
You can iron your hair damp but you absolutely must put a towel between the iron and your hair. That is, if your are talking about an iron like a clothes iron. If your talking about a hair iron, wait till your hair dries natually before your iron it. Otherwise, the hair stylist will be cutting your hair off at the neck because of so much damage. God Bless

I flat-iron my hair ALOT, usually 2 times a day, and sometimes 3, and strangly my hair is extremly healthy.
If you buy products that will protect your hair, then it wont damange it as much.
Who ever says your hair will become dead, is lying, again my hair is extremly healthy, and every mounth or so i dye it black, which is the worse hair color to dye your hair, my hairs been bleeched, chemically straightened, and i straighten it 2 times a day basically, and normally dont use any protection products.

well, you don't have to blow it out, but it needs to be at least 90% dry.
while it does damage your hair, you can prevent the damage. give your hair a break from the heat every once in a while. make sure you rid your hair of its splits (the only way is to cut them) and continue to get regular TRIMS (meaning the ends or whatever is damaged.) use a heat protectant and just take care of your hair!
it is not a good idea, although years ago people used this method more often and called it steam styling..
hair tends to be more soft when wet which allows it to break easier. and if done repeatedly with an iron, it will eventually cause it more damage than good. blow dry your hair using a paddle brush and some redken ultimate straightening balm..and this may make your hair straight enough that you won't have to flat iron..good luck
yes but make sure your hair is completely dry before straightening it. it's less damaging then blowdrying %26amp; straightening. i only have a few split ends but it depends on the straightener you use. i use a ceramic straightener (chi) right now but i use to use this gold plated one which didn't give me any split ends at all because it didn't go as hot as the chi
okay well you can let your hair air dry and then straighten it which is the best for your hair especially if you put leave in conditioner while its wet, but there is a straightener that can be used in wet hair, its conair but it sucks and its really bad for your hair
actually, blow drying ur hair first and then straightening it does MORE damage. just brush through it. then add some cream or product and then straighten it. but make sure u ALWAYs have product that protectes ur hair from heat! if not, u'll get bad split ends (knw from my own experience).
Your hair shouldn't be wet when your straightening it. It may not hunt the straightener but it hurts your hair. Blow drying your damages it too. You should let your hair air dry and use heat protector. (my friend did a science experiment on it)
